Why Compassionate Leadership?

It’s not easy being a compassionate leader in a combative world, especially when driving change can feel lonely and uncertain. Leading with compassion requires great strength and great courage.

The world is crying out for a new style of leadership, a human-centred leadership whose aim is to remove the causes of systemic suffering from within organisations and systems, enabling organisations to ensure a sustainable and flourishing future.

That means the world needs compassionate leaders more now than ever before.

Compassionate Leadership Training helps you to address the ‘how’ by integrating the best practices of modern leadership, evidence-based science, and contemplative practices.

This proven curriculum builds personal compassion which starts by focusing on the critical work of the inner self and applies it outwardly within organisations. Moving into the realms of relationship building, communication and developing organisational compassion. Extending outwards to cultural and systemic change.

Together, we integrate and embody these concepts with reinforcing practices, collaboration in small group breakouts, and through supportive conversation with the larger cohort community.

The case for compassionate leadership science, organisational evidence, and model for integration

Gain an understanding of the science of compassion, the evidence supporting the power and benefits of compassion in organisations, and the challenges to compassionate leadership.

Learn about the Window of Tolerance and how it can be expanded to develop mental resilience as a compassionate leader.

The role of the leader courageously bringing systems change

Learn about nurturing compassion and courageous compassion and understand how compassionate leadership requires both. Understand the roles of a leader and how those roles can be crafted into shaping more compassionate leadership.

Learn how to apply courageous compassion and take action to change systems from the inside out.

Module 4

Anchoring our leadership with inner strength inner work of compassionate leadership: awareness, self-compassion, and vulnerability

Deepen your ability to lead from a grounded, anchored place supported by awareness, self-compassion, and resilience.

Learn about the multiple, proven scientific benefits of self-compassion and how it can support you in improving overall wellbeing and reducing burnout and empathic fatigue.

Building a culture of compassionate psychological safety, mindset, and resilience

Learn how to create a culture of compassion through evidence-based organisational leadership principles and skills.

Learn how through developing a culture of psychological safety, and a growth mindset, can profoundly benefit cultures, increasing safety and improve the overall wellbeing and resilience of people within organisations.

Module 6

Fostering belonging in organisations inclusion for everyone: othering, bias, and belonging

Explore new perspectives and tools to foster a culture of belonging in organisations for everyone. Develop awareness of how our instincts and biases can impact the way we connect and interact with those around us.
